About the Job

The Water-Sewage unit consists of about 44 employees and is the unit within Lidköping Environment and Technology responsible for the operation and maintenance of our waterworks, treatment plants, pipeline networks, pumping stations, pressure boosting stations, and the expansion of water and sewage infrastructure within Lidköping municipality.

The Water-Sewage unit is facing an intensive workload in the coming years with the expansion of the pipeline network and the construction of a new sewage treatment plant. This means an intense period where many new technologies and process solutions will provide you as an operations technician with exciting challenges.

Responsibilities

As an operations technician, you will be stationed at the Lidköping sewage treatment plant. Together with the operations staff, you will work on the operation and maintenance of two treatment plants and 55 pumping stations.

• Monitor and control the treatment processes (mechanical, biological, chemical).
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on pumps, valves, and control systems.
• Take samples and document analysis results according to applicable routines.
• Maintain operation logs and report deviations.
• Administer and keep the maintenance system updated (e.g., register work orders, plan services, follow up on completed work).
• Participate in improvement work and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.

You will be part of the emergency organization for the sewage treatment plant and associated facilities.

Who Are You?

You have training as an operations technician, a high school education in the technical field (process, sewage, plumbing) or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. It is advantageous if you have knowledge in process technology.
